Great Stocking Stuffers and Gifts For Your Fisherman

Girls, have you ever wondered what to get your favorite fisherman for Christmas? Sure we all want him to look really nice so we go out and get him new clothes, the new trendy styles or what we think he'll look good in. And why not, he's our arm candy right? But have you really thought about what he would really like to find under the tree?

Think real hard for a minute. When you can actually strike up a conversation with your man, what does he usually talk about. Well, if he is like my husband, an avid fisherman, most likely he's telling you about some big bass he caught. Sometimes I wonder if he really caught half of them!

Really try and pay attention though, as boring as it is, to his conversation. He'll usually tell you some really good information on what you should get him for Christmas. As every fisherman I have ever met says, "You can never have enough fishing lures". Am I right? Plus they are obsessed with have more and more fishing rods and reels. I guess this is like our obsession with purses and shoes!

If you pay even closer attention you'll even find out what brands and types of lures and equipment he likes the best. My husband simply can't talk enough about what kind of lure he used to catch "the big ones". In fact he probably has at least 15 lures from the same company. Kaotik Lures this and Kaotik Lures that. It's his favorite brand.

Feeling him out for what I should get him for Christmas this year, I asked him a question. My mistake! I sat through what had to be an hour of discussion about fishing lures (I never new how many there actually were!). I asked him why he used the types of lures he uses.

Now my brain went to mush through most of his rambling but I did manage to find out why he liked Kaotik fishing lures so much. They are a small family owned business that makes all their lures by hand, which means that they are better built and stronger lures than the ones you find at the store. The hooks are really sharp, they have great colors to choose from and a really good selection of styles. Plus he said they were less expensive than the big name brands. That is when my eyes really lit up!

So the next day I went to their website, www.shakerbait.com. When I got there I saw they were having a sale on all their lures! I just can't pass up a sale! I went down stairs where my hubby kept his tackle boxes and look to see what was in there. I don't remember what he called all this stuff so I grabbed some of the ones he looked low on. I went up stairs and easily found exactly was I was looking for!

I bought him lures called a Shaker Bait Pro, a couple of "buzzbaits", and some spider jig thingies. I spent a total of $37 and with the 20% discount it was $29.50. Not only that, but since I purchased over $25, the shipping was free!

I can't wait until Christmas morning to see the look on his face when opens up his stocking and finds his new lures! I bet he's thinking he'll be getting the same old things again, some socks, a tie and candy!

Spend some time this year on your favorite fisherman and get him fishing lures for Christmas. They make great stocking stuffers and if you don't do stockings, wrap them up and put them under the tree. He'll be much happier to get them instead of cologne!

Thanks for reading and Merry Christmas!
